Wedding Dress: Dream Gown Within Budget

As most brides know, the dress is one if not the most important elements of your wedding (besides the Groom of course). As with any other garment choice, personal finances play a large role in the type of dress you can buy. Personally, I’ve been conflicted with the dress I want and the dress I can afford. I’ve dreamed of walking down the aisle in Vera Wang, Pnina Tornai, Eve of Milady, Amalia Carrera, Badgley Mischka, Reem Acra, Monique Lhuillier, and lots of other designers whose starting prices are way out of my budget. After falling in love with high end dream gowns, it’s quite a challenge to go into David’s Bridal the “Wal-Mart” of wedding gowns and get that excited about the quality.  After browsing the selection of wedding dresses I walked out; the quality just wasn’t there. I was even disappointed with Vera Wang’s White collection that is sold exclusively through David’s bridal. Sorry Vera, but the bridal gowns just don’t measure up to her “real” collection.
