We Love Fashion Designer Rachel Roy!

Although there are a ton of designers who are dominating Vogue, Glamour, and InStyle this year, Rachel Roy is by far my absolute favorite!  In addition to using bright, fun, and exciting colors, she’s not afraid to mix and match bold and funky patterns in order to create a unique look.  She brings back classic fashion trends and makes them relevant with today’s appropriate styles; for example in her line Rachel, by Rachel Roy, she introduces the Delphine Dress – a casual mini-dress made of crushed velvet that features pockets and a bell shape (the perfect dress to wear to the beach on your day off, out on a day-date with that guy from next door, or even to your English Lit 101 class this Thursday). I was only in elementary and junior high school when the ‘Rachel’ hair cut was all the rage in the 90’s. However, young I was I knew that I loved Jennifer Aniston. There is something about her that was timeless, and she still is. From her laid back attitude, her sense of humor about her private life (seriously, who cares that she is single?), to her always fashionable sense of style, Jen is every girl’s girl. Find Your Own Fashionable Style!

I’ve never thought of myself as “fashionable.”  After years of flipping through my sister’s copies of Vogue and watching E! for an amount of time that is more than the acceptable amount, I assumed fashion and style were for people who were more sophisticated than I was – you know, fancy people.

When I was a young girl, I was more of a tomboy and my biggest concern (when it came to clothing) was whether or not it would allow me to tumble into summersaults or scissor-kick into the splits at any random moment.  When I went to high school, I was stuck wearing an awkwardly large uniform skirt and oversized sweaters that attempted to keep me warm during our Colorado winters.  And finally when I attended Ithaca College, I was surrounded by slackers, who were still rocking flannel pants to class, and bundled-up west-coasters, who couldn’t figure out how to brave the biting air of upstate New York.  It wasn’t until I moved to Los Angeles that I discovered the purpose of fashion and design – this was the town that helped me find my personal style. Megan Fox is our Style Star

Not since Angelina Jolie in her heyday (blood vials and kissing siblings), has one actress caused quite a stir. Megan Fox could be written off as just another pretty face in Hollywood, but it is her demeanor and ballsy attitude that gives her staying power an edge. Not to mention she is drop dead beauty queen status gorgeous! Wearing mostly skin tight outfits on the red carpet, she is this generation’s definition of a Hollywood bombshell. Someone had to bring sex appeal glamour back to the red carpet, why not Megan?

Take for example, her super short mini dress worn to last year’s MTV movie awards. That is not a lot of clothing! Yet the floral print of the dress keep it from looking too scandalous. Megan’s style is very much centering on amping her sex appeal, but she does always manage to make her outfits look edgier with a slight rocker feel. Her massively high gladiator heels can attest to that statement, as well as the slicked back coif of hair she is sporting! Read more

Jena Malone is one of many adorable indie actresses who have been around for awhile. While she has definitely established herself as a talented actress with movies such as ‘Donnie Darko’ and ‘The Go Getter’, we probably still remember her best as the daughter in ‘Stepmom’! However, all that may soon change with the potential blockbuster ‘Sucker Punch’ in theatres right now. The imaginative action movie co stars the likes of Abbie Cornish and fellow style star Vanessa Hudgens. It honestly wasn’t until I saw this movie that I even thought to look her up, and she is definitely worthy of being called a style star! Jennifer Lopez is our Style Star

Jennifer Lopez has long been regarded as one of Hollywood’s most beautiful people, now she has the title legitamately. Lopez was just named ‘Most Beautiful’ by People magazine, and for good reason. It seems the older Jenny from the block gets, the better she looks. Really, this girl does not age! Not only is she sort of devestatingly gorgeous, but she has a sort of bombshell style, that not many Hollywood starlets can really pull off. Always glamorous, Ms. Lopez never misses a fashion beat.

Jennifer has such a killer figure, it is no wonder that this little black dress looks great on her. The sequins on the front of the dress give it that extra punch that Ms. Lopez usually implores in most of her outfits. The high heeled black boots give the ensemble a rock and roll look, and her hair updo only adds to it. Jen went a little easy on the jewelry, letting the outfit speak for itself, and it sure does. Hayden Panettiere best known for her role as Claire Bennet on Heroes, a hugely popular show that aired from 2006-2010, but Hayden Panettiere has been in the business since she was a small tot. Her mother started her out in commercials at a young age and her talent was quickly recognized. Her fashion sense, however, has taken a little longer to be noticed. Not because she dressed poorly at one point, but because in a sea of primped, preened, and over-the-top starlets, her subtle feminine and often sportier style has been overlooked.

Hayden Panettiere is young, adorable, vivacious, and athletic. Her gymnast-like body is the envy of many young girls striving for a healthy and fit physique. She prefers casual over dressy and is often seen wearing short-shorts, her muscular legs amply exposed. She loves cozy t-shirts and tanks and loves waltzing around in her two-piece at the beach but doesn’t shy away from playing dress-up. She cleans up nicely and is often seen in tight fitting short dresses, the non-trashy variety, of course. Read more
