Benefit: The Miracle Makeup Product

My friend Larissa and I had just finished treating ourselves to an afternoon mani/pedi combo and were on our way home when she suggested we go get our eyebrows waxed at the Benefit salon across the street. It didn’t take much convincing, because well at the time I really needed it! As soon as I was in the chair, our esthetician asked me, ‘wow have you been working all day or what’? I had. I work long hours, and don’t always have time to reapply, so unfortunately, when I look tired, I look tired. She (in the nicest way possible) told me that there was an extra step in my daily makeup routine besides concealer. In my naturally pessimistic attitude towards people trying to sell me things, I passed. Well this girl was not going to take no for an answer, washed all the 10 hour makeup off my face and showed me two products to put on before anything else: a brightening face primer called ‘That Gal’ and a concealer called ‘Stay Don’t Stray’. The primer instantly brightened up my entire face, like an after work out glow almost; and the concealer made my eyes totally shine and pop. Then my new best friend put my makeup back on, I couldn’t believe it, I looked like a brand new refreshed person; definitely not someone who had been working since 7 am!

I am not someone who is a makeup enthusiast (I prefer retail therapy instead) but ever since then, those two products I simply cannot live without. They stay on all day and no matter what brand of makeup you use, from cover girl to MAC it makes everything just pop! Your face looks brighter all the way around. I never worry about looking too tired anymore, oh and at the end of my make up session after that long day of work, Larissa and I went out for margaritas to celebrate!
